Second half blitz sees 2s down Eton in opener

1 Oct 2018

A remarkable five-minute spell immediately after half-time saw the OHAFC 2nd XI score three almost identical goals against their Etonian counterparts to help secure a comfortable victory in their first competitive fixture of the season.

Neither side had looked like scoring in a cagey first forty-five minutes, but three long balls forwards in quick succession caused panic in the Eton rearguard and forwards Geoff Taunton-Collins and Will Payne took full advantage, finishing each chance with aplomb.

The visitors pulled a goal back on the hour mark, but Harrow held on comfortably enough to secure their first opening day win in four seasons and their second in succession over the Old Enemy.
