2s fall to second consecutive 1-0 defeat at Chigs

25 Nov 2019

The OHAFC 2nd XI failed to score for the second consecutive fixture and once again fell to a single-goal defeat, this time away to the Old Chigwellians 2s.

Having fallen 1-0 at home to the Old Citizens last weekend, the Blues travelled north determined to return to winning ways in what was a crucial game - Chigs one of the few teams appearing capable of challenging the OHAFC and Carthusians 2s at the top of Division Two.

But the visitors struggled to play with much fluency on the huge pitch and again chances proved hard to come by.

Despite defending solidly, Chigs scrambled in from a corner with an hour gone and held on, despite some heavy late pressure from the visitors.

The defeat sees the OHAFC level on points with Charterhouse 2s at the top of the table, Chigwellians six points back having played a game more than the top two.
