Breeden thunderbolt sets 3's on way to vital win

16 Feb 2013

A magnificent 25 yard strike from Alex Breeden and a superb display from Alex Gilbert secured a vital three points for the OHAFC 3rd XI at home to Chigwell 3's on Saturday.

Despite playing the entire second half with only ten men after Jack Robinson and a Chigwell player were both taken to hospital following a nasty clash of heads, Theo Gordon's men turned in a fine display and secured the win thanks to a stellar performance from Alex Gilbert, who ran the visitors' defence ragged on the huge pitch, scoring two excellent goals and spurning several other notable opportunities.

The win eases the side's relegation fears, but with several vital fixtures still to come, more performances of this nature are required to ensure Division Four football next season.
